The Magazine

SHEDIA is the Greek monthly street magazine and like every other street magazine, it is not sold in kiosks or bookstores, but exclusively on the streets by certified vendors.

The vendors belong to vulnerable social groups – they are homeless, unemployed and people that provably live below the poverty line. 50% from the magazine’s sales goes directly to them. That gives them the opportunity to a minimum salary. Becoming vendors however, gives them a chance to regain their dignity and their place in the social sphere – and in many cases a chance to re-build their lives.
